What is your cancellation policy?
If you have booked directly with us, we require a 60 day notice for a full refund. We are flexible and understanding of emergencies when possible. We are trying to avoid the last minute cancellations that do not give us the opportunity to rebook.
What is your pet policy?
We do not allow pets due to many negative experiences with behaviors that are disruptive to other guests and excessive cleaning.
We are required to accept service animals by law and do enforce the stipulation in the law that service animals are never left alone in the rental units and owners are responsible for damages.
When guests are renting the entire Seaside property or Kai property, we will consider pet requests, but we require an additional cleaning fee.
Can we host parties or events?
Vacation in Carlsbad offers vacation rentals only with capacity limits determined by the City of Carlsbad. We do not have licensing or permits required to host events.
What is provided in each rental unit?
We have tried to think of most things you will need for a great getaway! If you have any questions about items besides what we mention below, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Fully stocked kitchen – dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, serving dishes, baking sheets, traditional and k-cup coffeemaker, blender, toaster, electric kettle….
We provide spray olive oil, salt and pepper and some coffee k-cups. Please bring your own spices, condiments etc – we do not leave any used/shared products in our units.
You have your own washer and dryer in the unit – we provide laundry pods (and dishwasher pods for the dishwasher).
The bathrooms have Beekman hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
We provide beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs and beach umbrellas. Kai and Seaside have beach cruiser bikes.
There are gas grills connected to the gas line so no worries about propane tanks.
Do you offer discounts?
In fairness to all guests, we do not offer discounts to some and not others. Current pricing for all is reflected in our booking calendar.
Last minute discounted pricing for unrented units is also reflected in our booking calendar. For stays of more than 30 nights, guests do not have to pay the City of Carlsbad’s taxes – a savings of 12%.
